'Universal' Mini-Emulsion Lipid Nanoparticle Drug Delivery
The NANO DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM
Pharmachal's Nano Drug Delivery System (the "NDDS") is an internationally-patented, successfully clinically-trialled, drug-in-oil, mini-emulsion lipid nanoparticle technology able to deliver a wide range of small molecule drugs and other active ingredients topically, sublingually, nasally or rectally in the form of a spray, cream or patch, or intravenous application.
The mean particle size of NDDS is ~1μm, allowing a range of drugs to be delivered at a cellular level, providing new methods for delivering existing drugs and, in many cases, replacing injections. Clinical studies have demonstrated elevated bioavailability with lower doses and lower toxicity.
The NDDS's global patents cover a wide range of APIs and bioactive ingredients including peptides, mRNA, analgesics, vaccines, botanicals, nutrients and more. They provide decades of coverage to the company.
Pharmachal is working on a suite of products, including its NOPAYNE lidocaine spray, the I-Derm lidocaine patch and the Proctorhoid enema for post-rectal surgery. The company is also incorporating Rambam Medtech's pro-coagulation peptide API into the formula.

How small is 1μm?
Pharmachal's NDDS mini-emulsion technology has a particle size of less than 1μm - down to 0.3μm and smaller. This explains why it can produce superior bioavailability, delivering similar results to prescription strength drugs with lower-dose, safer over-the-counter strength formulations.
